Who operates this website
OtterHelm operates otterhelm.games. For questions about this policy or requests concerning your information, email contact@otterhelm.games.
Contact inquiries
If you use our contact form, we receive your email address, subject, message and any name you choose to provide. We use them to respond to your inquiry and handle the resulting correspondence. Please do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.
Brevo transmits the inquiry to our contact mailbox. Porkbun email forwarding and Gmail handle delivery and storage. Messages may remain in the inquiry mailbox while they are needed for the correspondence. You can ask us to delete your inquiry by emailing contact@otterhelm.games.
The website database does not store inquiry text or your email address. It keeps request identifiers, time buckets and a daily-changing derived IP identifier to limit repeated submissions. Cleanup targets records from before the last three UTC calendar days when the form is used; deletion can be later if the form is idle.
Usage analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interest in our games. Information may include pages viewed, browser and device information, referral origins, game and devlog navigation, video starts and successful contact-form submissions.
Our custom events use game or post identifiers. We do not send inquiry names, email addresses, subjects or message text with these events. We omit URL queries and fragments from the page addresses and referral information supplied by our analytics code. Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in this site's Analytics configuration.
You can stop analytics for this browser using the controls below. We also respect the browser's Global Privacy Control signal for our usage analytics. Browser settings or extensions may independently block analytics.
Cookies and saved preferences
We use browser storage to remember your light or dark theme and your analytics preference. These preferences remain until you change them or clear your browser storage. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits. You can remove cookies and stored preferences through your browser settings.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check for automated submissions. Cloudflare processes technical browser and network information for this security check. Blocking the check may prevent form submission; the direct email link remains available.
Advertising and social platforms
Google AdSense is connected to this website. If ads are served, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies to select and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites. Advertising choices and any region-specific consent requirements are separate from the usage-analytics controls on this page.
The home page can load media from YouTube, Instagram and X. Loading platform images or widgets, or opening an embedded video, can send your IP address, browser details and referral information to that platform. Videos hosted directly on this website do not require an external social player.
External services apply their own privacy policies and may process information in other countries. Their retention periods depend on their policies and account settings.
Hosting, access and deletion requests
This website is hosted through Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting and security providers process technical request information to deliver the website, detect abuse and troubleshoot failures. Our operational messages contain fixed service outcome codes and do not include contact-form text, email addresses or raw IP addresses.
To ask about, correct or request deletion of information you have sent us, contact contact@otterhelm.games. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request relates to you. We will update this page when our website's data practices change.
Analytics preferences
You can stop usage analytics for this browser. Your choice does not affect the contact form, games, or videos hosted on this website.
